Do you see a choir singing in praise
Or deacons who forgot to give you a raise?
Sublime and petty, it's all there to see
And we lift it all up on your anniversary.

Here is another limerick, and it’s positive too! I’m on a roll. This one is specific to the first year pastor anniversary when it’s been a good year. I considered composing a companion limerick in case it wasn’t such a good year, which might be more amusing but probably isn’t the kind you’d actually want to give to your under-performing pastor.
