Ken's 55th birthday

Ken is a very dear family friend. A wonderful husband and father of two girls. He is a short skinny man, wears glasses and has very grey hair and beard.

He loves to braai and enjoys a few cold beers. He works on a farm in Zimbabwe. He is a gadget man (collects anything and everything) He loves fishing.

Tom responds:

Well, Crazy Kerry, Ken sounds like a good friend to have. Here is his poem:

Ken’s 55th Birthday

Crazy Kerry, from somewhere in Zimbabwe
Wants to wish Ken a happy 55th birthday

Ken is not the tallest in stature, nor thickest of arm
But he's strong from all that work on the farm

He wears glasses, so he can clearly see
That his hair and beard have grayed, prematurely

But Ken doesn't mind, he loves to braai
Which people in Zimbabwe would rather do than pray

(That's probably not true, since I just made it up
As I have no idea whether "braai" is something you do or something that comes in a cup)

Ken has a weakness for gadgets, and collects loads of stuff
So he'll have what he needs, when times get tough

He loves to go fishing, and enjoys a cold beer
He's a devoted husband and father to his family dear

It seems that nothing about Ken is upsetting or scary
Unless it's having a friend known as Crazy Kerry.
