Funny Anniversary Poems
Here’s a grab-bag of funny anniversary poems that shine with the sense of humor that it takes to stay married to the same person for years. And years. And, at least in some cases, be happy with the result.
This first poem is for those whose achievement of anniversary status comes as something as a surprise to those who know and love them. | | So There! By Tom Mulhern

The following funny anniversary poem probably wasn’t very funny when it happened, but will be when they look back in future years. Unless he makes it a habit, in which case there won’t be that many future anniversaries.
| | In The (Crowded) Doghouse By Tom Mulhern
Our anniversary is today And I forgot
Did I get her a gift and card? I did not
Do I feel like an insensitive jerk? Yes I do
The only good thing is She forgot too.

This poem is one that I wrote for my wife on our recent 31st wedding anniversary.
| | Hitting Our Prime, Again By Tom Mulhern
When your wedding anniversary is number thirty-one There’s no big party with all sorts of fun For thirty-one there’s no special gathering in store Of relatives and friends, who choose this one to ignore
But it is our anniversary and I love you And I’m glad that together we’ve made it through 31 years, which is just the right size For this anniversary, but if I may generalize
It seems that one is not expected to have a memorable time When the number of years of marriage is a number that is prime.
Mathematical footnote: a prime number can only be evenly divided by itself and the number one.
