The very best kind of a very best friend
Is the kind with whom lots of time you can spend
Without getting tired of their personality
Nor irritated by any idiosyncrasy
That would in others get under your skin
But your friend can do it again and again
A friend who can finish the sentences you start
A friend you can tell what’s deep in your heart
A friend like this is beyond compare
And I’m sorry to say, is all too rare
So when you find one, hold on tight
And don’t give up without a good fight.
