To learn more about her, just read along

She’s a mother to someone, but we don’t know whom
She’s also a daughter, which we could have assumed

Knowing Allison is a she and not a he
And mighty glad of it, if you ask me

Not that I’m in any position to know it
Since I only recently became Allison’s poet

But I really don’t want to irritate or berserk her
Lest she take it out on her unnamed co-worker

Which she probably wouldn’t do, for she’s a good friend
